My Lexis 399 1999 SUV takes a total of 5 quarts to bring it to the top of the full line. Recently I let it get so low that it took 3 quarts to get it to the top of the full line. Apparently I have been driving the car for some time on very low oil. I have since had the oil changed. The car sounds fine and continues to ride well. Two questions:
1: Have I necessarily damaged the car? 2: Is there anything I should in terms of repair or taking the car into the dealer for a diagnosis?
