1997 Lexus LS 400 ELECTRIC ANTENNA

I am new to the site but have the same problem. My dealer wanted around $ 380.00 to replace the whole motor ( which is needed ). The part price is around $ 170.00 from the dealer. What I am trying to find out is how to replace the motor: exp-thru the trunk, etc. And of course step by step instruction. There was another post on this site earlier but there were no responses to that inquiry. See below. It was on page 9. Any help out there?

Electrical problem
1997 Lexus LS 400 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 105000 miles

My antenna no longer goes up automatically, but instead, makes a grinding or whining noise as if it is trying to move. I can manually raise the antenna to get radio reception. Can you advise me on the cause of the problem and what is required to repair?
