Our LS 400 does not accelerate quickly. If you press too much on the gas the car feels like it wants to die. What is the prob? Could it be the anti theft system?

I had the same problem with my 92 LS400. Mine was so bad that the car would stop running and shuts off the engine when it got really hot outside. Pressing the on the gas hard would make it stall and want to shut off. I replaced the mass air censor unit and the problem was solved.
