I returned from a trip at midnight to find a dead battery and did a recharge but in the dark, I reversed the terminals during a jump, fried the battery. Replaced the battery at 2 AM, thanks to Walmart. Car fires up fine, and the alarm was triggering but soon resolved itself, but now I have no electrical. The stereo, lights, seat motors, dashboard are all out. And I am unable to take the car out of park. I am hoping I just fried some fuses or relays, but since it was dark I couldnt see anything. I'd like to know likely cause and if they are over the counter parts most likely or will I have to get to the dealer.

You probably burnt out some fusable links.

You can probably find replacements at an auto parts store, but not at walmart in the middle of the night.

That's exactly what it was. The 100 A fusable link was out. It was a bitch to get out and the other one didnt didnt go in properly, but its in there well enough to work. Fixed it yesterday morning once I had some daylight to see. Saw the 100A was out, got a $6 replacement hoping that was the only one out and sure enough it solved the problem (at least as far as I know, havent check everything electrical yet) but Im up and running at least again. Thanks for the help.
