Leaking antifreeze. If I use any kind of sealant will that mess up my engine

A lot of them don't work and some will plug the heater core. Try the head gasket type of sealant. But be aware of what may happen best to have system pressure checked to see if it's a small external leak but probably a head/intake gasket
