car wont stop/turn off

Hi, i've got a rover 218sldt 1996 diesel, and when i turn off at the ignition the car keeps on running but everything else like radio, lights, heater etc.. all turn off as normal, can you help please

a slight run on after turn off is natural with a deisel engine .. give the vehicle a service and it return to normal !!
