1999 Land Rover Discovery 2 my hood won't open

My hood won't open. I pull the hood release and my hood won't pop up, to then unlatch it to open it all the way. My husband said the cable isn't broken. My husband got underneath the car & with plyers got the wire and pulled it but still hood won't pop up. He also put a screw driver in the grill to release the hood release, but it still won't open. Any advice on how to get the hood open ? Thanks !

Hi there,

Re try what you have already done, but apply same down pressure on the bonnet at the same time, as the latch may be way out of adjustment and hanging up.
