My car has recently been knocking/clunk when turning full lock both left and right, the knocking is on the n/s. Took to the garage and he replaced the track rod end, but knocking persists, took it back to be told the o/s track rod end needs replacing and this is what would cause the noise.(I have not had it replaced yet) All signs symptoms refer to CV joint issue, but was told by mechanic that they are fine because there is no damage to the boot. Upon jack car up myself and having a noisy round. I have noticed strange noise occurring when spinning the wheel for the inner CV joint area kind of sounds like a knackered bearing but I am no expert. So I took back to the garage with video proof to save hassle of jacking up to hear it. I was told it is the o/s track rod end again.
Long story short can there be damage to CV joints without boots being damaged on a car with 36,000 miles or could the o/s track rod end cause the noise on the n/s?
I have videos but unable to load them up.
Thanks in advance.

I would be thinking that the CV's are at fault the knock on lock is very systematic with this type of noise.
