Does air con come as standard stock in 98/99 model cars? How much to install/fix? Can the car handle it if its been flogged by previous owner and only done 133000kms or is it wrecked?

Depends on what car it is. On the Kia that you have listed, a/c is only an OPTIONAL feature. If yours is not equipped you would need several components purchased and installed including the a/c compressor and lines. Talk to your local hvac shop about getting a/c installed.. If you mean the previous owner was rough with the car and didn't maintain it well than there is more components that will probably need replaced earlier than what they should need to. But without seeing and driving the car firsthand that is really hard to say wether it's worth buying or not.

Sorry about that, HVAC = Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning. Just a local shop that speicalizes in heating and a/c repairs. With doing doughnuts and such. You would want to inspect the suspension components (ball joints, control arms, bushings etc.) And definitely the tires. Also check the fluids because they probably were not changed when they should have been. Especially the transmission fluid, engine oil and coolant.

Keep an eye on the gauges when driving it. Make sure its not overheating or anything like that. Also listen for unusual noises (i.E. Metal on metal, clunking etc.). Feel in the steering wheel, the brake and gas pedal and by the seat of your pants! If you feel any unusual vibrations then this is a sign that something is wrong and needs attention. Let me know if you feel, hear or smell anything and I will try helping diagnose if needed.
