I have a 2002 Kia Spectra 4dr. Sedan, on which the front
passenger door lock is stuck, The key won't turn and the
inside lock can't be unlocked. The door is closed, so the
door panel screws on the outside edges are hidden by the surrounding door frame. I removed the upholstered
part of the door panel, to try to access the mechanism,
but there is no access hole in the panel. The only hole is
where the door opening lever is, which is about 2x2 in.
I've squirted some lubricant into the hole toward the
mechanism, and also in the key slot on the outside of the door, but nothing works. I'm trying to avoid having to go
to the dealer. Hope you can help me!

Mike, the real problem I have is that the door is closed, so the door panel screws around the edges
are hidden by the surrounding door frame. If that
wasn't the case, I could have easily removed the door
panel to get to the lock mechanism. Thank you,
Mario

You gonna have to work it from the inside thru the door lock actuator and see if it'd open that way otherwise you have to bring it in-

I'll try and see if I can do anything through that
opening. Will let you know how it goes, but it'll be a
couple of weeks before I can get to it. Thank you
again,
Mario
