I highly doubt the battery and oil light caused this or had anything to do with it. I think they just came on due to the vehicle stalling or in this case, it failed to restart during the stop start event. This is what the system is called where the engine shuts off at a stop light so there are a number of reasons for this to fail to restart.
Unfortunately we need to start with finding out if this happens again. There are times that this could happen. Clearly it should not happen all the time or multiple times. This has fail safes to turn this system off if there is an issue so if it sees an issue the vehicle will not shut off if it thinks it will not restart.
Due to this being such a new vehicle, I think getting it checked is the best idea however, we need to be prepared for them to not find anything if this was a one time thing.
If that happens then I would start to prepare for getting a video of it just after it is happening. So that means when it doesn't restart and the lights come on, get a video of it at that point and then record yourself turning it off and restarting it. This is simply proof that it happened just to help them get it repaired.
Due to this being such a new vehicle I suspect there will be a software flash that will fix this. Even if it is not available yet they should notify you when it is. I work for a different OEM and we had a vehicle that had a similar issue and a software update for this issue repaired it.
Keep us posted with what they say and we can go from there. Let e know what questions you have. Thanks
