Radiator cooling fans stopped working--A mechanic rewired them and they are now working fine (this was about 2 months ago). Just last night got in the van and no A/C blower (possibly even the cojpressor clutch is not engaging), no headlights, and no windshield wipers. Is everything starting to go haywire? Where should I be looking--Have checked fuses, relays, checked for burned wires to no avail--no voltage at the relays and switches? The mechanic that worked on it before says it could probably be a computer problem--I did not think that the fans, lights, wipers, etc. Were routed through the computer?

Start by using a meter to test all main feeds off the battery. Start at the source of power and work your way towards the interior. Sounds like you have lost a fusiblelink or other source feed at the battery. Do you have any power to the interior fuse panel? Does the car still run ok? All exterior lights work? Both cooling fan relays should havev power all the time to them, again a main feed problem

Yes I have interior power-dome lights etc. Also tail lights, park lights, etc all O.K. As noted the first problem was with the cooling fans and the mechanic wired them direct--I am probably going to take it back to him--he is a certified Kia mechanic and this is the garage that I have used for 20+ years--I will tell him what you said about the fusible link.
Thank you
