After losing key fob engine will not crank and alarm will not reset?

I lost the key fob and cannot get the alarm to reset or the ignition to turn over.

Hi,

You need the proper key for the system to recognize it and allow the vehicle to start. In this case, you will need to get replacement keys and program the immobilizer to recognize the new key/keys.

This procedure requires a diagnostic scan too that can communicate with all modules. I attached the directions below. If you have such a scanner, let me know if you are comfortable performing the procedure.

Note: You can not rewrite a key that has already been programmed. Also, the attached directions vary based on specific requirements.
