I was getting into the car, turned on the ignition but not pressing the brake so only the car turned on but did not roll over. It’s key-less entry. No locks on the door or for the ignition. I rolled down the back window and the baby’s sunshade got sucked into the door. Then I tried to roll it back out and it has a piece stuck in it now. Then when I went to press the brake and the ignition button, nothing happened. After a failed jump start I thought maybe it was the immobilizer activating. Any thoughts? I tried to find advice on deactivating it but everything is specific to a car with a key hole in the door and a manual ignition.

Hello,

It sounds like the battery has shorted out which will not respond to a jump but to be sure here is a guide to help us load test the battery and if it fails a guide to show you step by step on how to change the battery with diagrams below to show you how on your car.
