The first start of the day requires multiple key turns, after that, starts, runs fine all day?

The problem has existed for about 6 months. First start of the day requires multiple key turns. After that, starts, runs fine all day. Next day, the problem repeats. Presently, multiple key turns produce nothing-no sounds, just dash lights. Battery, alternator, starter, neutral safety switch are all good.

Hello,

There is a starter relay I would swap out, here is the location of the relay and I have included the starter wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works. If you swap out the relay and you still have the problem I would see if the starter trigger wire gets power when the key is in the crank position. This guide can help:
