Using flat emergency tray key the engine keeps shutting off

Lost key yesterday and used my flat emergency tray key to crank my car was pulling into Walmart and the car all the sudden just quit running on me. I had it jumped off it stayed cranked for about 20 feet then shut off again. What should I do.

Hello,

Can I ask if the security light is flashing? if so this is your problem. you will need to get a new key programmed to the car. should cost about $130.00 at the dealer. you can try to reset the system but it might go back tot he way it is now.
