I just purchased this car, upon purchasing I noticed the vehicle had a slight misfire and minor stall, under 1000 rpm the vehicle shook. I did figure that was a tune up. The check engine light was not on at the time( he unplugged the battery) but I did get a system's test. Battery, starter, alternator all fine. Drove it for a while and like clock work the check engine light came on the codes were for EGR valve bank one running rich EGR stuck open, intake air control valve and speed sensor. I also was made aware that the odometer did not work and the mileage was wrong. So I replaced the EGR, IAC, wires, plugs, air filter, cracked PCV elbow. Car drove the same after for about a week. Now it will not drive at all. It will turn on, shoot up too 2000 rpm back down to 1000 rpm and power off. Could that be a cracked vacuum line? Fuel pump? Fuel pressure regulator? Fuel injector?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a EGR valve that is stuck open again. Please remove it and follow this test to see if that is the problem.
