2008 Other Jeep Models Bad Smell

This week the air coming out when I turned on the heater started smelling like vinegar. Its not the first time I've used the heater recently but it just started. I took it to the dealership and they just sprayed some sort of air freshener in the vintilation system. Any ideas on what could be causing the vinegar smell? Thank you,

it sounds like something may have been pourd or spilled on vent under windshield on outside of jeep all I can say is to rinse it out and try again or it may have been spilled down defrost vent inside
