Transmission problem
1999 Other Jeep Models Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi i have a 1999 grand cherokee wj with 62k miles
the engine management has came on and the transmission wont change above what feels like the secong cog, around 35 mph. it just goes into neutral/wont change up. when i slow it drops back to the second cog. i have just had to drive it home 200 miles at 50 mph on the manual 2 gear setting. everything else is working perfect.
any ideas?
cheers
