2003 Jeep Laredo Airflow from vents

2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO

When I step on the gas to accelerate, airflow stops coming out of the panel vents and comes totally out of the defog vent underneath the front windshield. When I let off the gas and take the load off the engine, the airflow switches back to the panel vents. This is without changing the airflow selector switch.

System operate on vacuum and if vacuum to be lost system will and should default to defrost check under hood vacuum source and vacuum lines for leak or loose
