(Had engine replacement 10,000 miles ago)
For the past few weeks when driving and the road curves to the right, my steering wheel would shimmie back and forth slightly, not every time but most times. I brought it in for inspection and my mechanic replaced the upper and lower ball joints on the right side. After leaving the mechanics I almost went off the road when i got up to 50/55 mph, because the steering wheel shimmie was a lot worse and the entire car was shaking violently. It felt like the tires were falling off. I took it back to him and he replaced a hydraulic part (don't know the name) that he said helps regulate the steering wheel/column. He told me to have the front end aligned, too and that should fix it. The shimmy problem is better, but still worse than when i brought it in originally. It only happens when going between 50-60 mph, not always, but probably 75% of the time. I can either decellerate or accellerate to make it go away. Would a simple front end alignment fix a problem like this? What else could it be?

Go to a Jeep dealer I believe there is a recall on the control arm bushings!
