I got a check engine light in my car I took it to be read and was told my number 7 spark plug was misfireing. I took to be repaired and was told u needed a tune up. Got the tune up and the next day the engine light came on again and its still reading the same thing took it back to the same shop and they said the coil needed replacing did that and the light is on again reading the same thing. I no longer trust this mechanic what is the problem I need to be checking for

See My Profile,

Buddy I do not know your rig. Imma CJ guy

But if you ever want to know what the Light means for FREE!

Take it to Autozone or Advance Auto, they can check it. Some are so familiar with many problems they can Diagnose themselves and tell and show you what needs to happen. LIKE HAVING A FREE DIAGNOSTIC MECHANIC!

They may also be able to check old stored codes!

I repaired somthing on my sister's rig. Could not reset the light, so I took it there. They said they were not allowed to do it either, so I asked him to show me, if I had a scanner. He did, and the last step was push the button, I told him to look under her rig and see if the transmission was leaking. Maraculously, somehow the code cleared itsself. He was Astonished too!

They do have some good people in those stores, I make it a point to be-friend the Good ones. It does help in the future!
