One time last week, after shutting the car off, the fan continued running until the battery was disconnected. A few hours later when reconnecting the battery it went right back on. At that time, we had about 4 inches of snow on the ground, and thought maybe the switch got frozen. We let the car sit over night, disconnected, and in the morning it seemed fine. Now when we sit idle in park too long it starts to overheat and the fan isnt operating at all.

See my profile. Not real familiar w/ your rig---Checked fuses?---But it sounds like a cooling fan relay got stuck/ fried on your baby.(Owner man may show location)

Sometimes if you can locate it, a little smack (on relay) will make it come on (if its calling for it). Thats just a hillbilly way to find the right relay (smack may not work). Should replace it anyway, once problem is found.

Another FREE way possibility (labor anyway). Take him to Autozone or Advance Auto. They encounter this stuff all the time. Beats the repair shop if it works!

Love, Turddog
