2001 Jeep Cherokee See below

Today I was driving on the highway. I was doing about 70 and the car started to lurch back and forth. I pulled over to the side waited a couple of seconds and then got off the highway. The rest of the way was ok as I did not exceed 50 mph. This has happened once or twice before while I was doing about 45 but not as bad. What could be causing this?

HAs the check engine light come on? Have you had the fuel pressure tested?

The check engine light has not come on. I have not had the fuel pressure checked.

Usually the check engine lught will indicate a problem with an electrical component, sensor... Since that hasn't happened, start with checking the fuel pressure. Here is a how to:
