When driving, when the engine gets hot, the auto seems to starts cutting out, the check engine light comes on and then the engine will quit. Can restart but when the slipping becomes worse, it will cut off again. New rebuild transmission has not helped nor has a brand new computer. Any ideas? Please help, I am a female with limited resources.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine manangement system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
