Engine Cooling problem
2001 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have to replace all the freeze out plugs on this engine, to do so it seemed the easiest thing to do would be to remove the engine. I have been fighting with the top 2 bell housing bolts. How do you get to them and what size are they.

Do you have to replace the head freeze plugs or the engine block freeze plugs if they are the engine block freezez plugs all you have to do is remove the intake and exhaust manifold to change them if they are the head freeze plugs the you will have to remove engine to get to the rear freeze pluglet me know which ones you have to remove and I will send you the removel and install for them

I have to remove all of them. The rear head plug blew out as well as the side block plugs. Is there any under the bell housing?

No just on the front and back of head and on side of block ok as for gettng the bolts out your best bet is to get them from under the jeep the top ones ar the hardest but you can get them I have found using a 2-3 foot extention with a swivel works the best
