I had the same problem. You can make a simple test to verify if is the crankshaft sensor. This is a common problem in 4.0 engines. This is going to sound dumb but it works, when your engine cuts off, get a bottle of water and pour directly to the crankshaft sensor, this is located between the engine and the transmission. Right next to the firewall. This will help to cool down the sensor and the engine will start inmediatelly. You can find the sensor in any autoparts. Just make sure to take the old sensor because there are several types. I hope this was helpful for you.
