I have a 2000 jeep cherokee, 4.0L, automatic, 4x4 and my engine warning light is on what could the problem be?

Will not "crack". What is that? Are you indicating that the car does not turn over? If so, there are several key components to look at: starter, ignition switch, battery, cables.

I meant to type "Crank" sorry.
Yes the car will not turn over. I've looked at all that you said, I've removed, tested or replaced everything in the system according to my chiltons manual excpet the main relay. But I have been having trouble testing the wire to the relays before purchasing a new relay.
