My son's jeep will cut off while driving down the road. Sometimes it will start back and other times it has to sit for a while before it will start. Took to auto shop and it would not act up. What could the possible problem be?

New Jeeps are under investigation for this problem, get in touch with a dealer and ask.

I had the same exact problem with my jeep. I would be driving and my jeep would start shaking and then it would just shut off on me. I could never tell when it was going to happen but when I would try to show other people it would not act up. I changed the alternator, and a couple of sensors and it would still do the same thing and I got pissed and took it to the dealership and it wound up being the camshaft position sensor, they charged me over $300.00 dollars to change on little sensor. I changed all the wrong ones if I would have kept on looking I could have saved my self all that damn money. Oh and dont make the mistake I did and change the crankshaft position sensor, that part only cost $20.00 so it would not hurt to change it.
