1999 Jeep Cherokee car gauges

Check with your local Jeep dealer to see if you are part of a recall that went out to a few years of Cherokee about their dashes having a defective plug.

Having recently experienced this in my 98 you may also want to check if someone did some after market work on the stereo as I found fried wires in my dome light that were also causing this problem. I suspect that someone didn't know what they were doing and ran something to the dash for an amp or something and left the wires loss when they pulled it out.
