I have a 1997 Jeep Gr Cherokee Ltd. 5.2 V-8 which used to stumble and then sometimes stall out. I used to be able to start the engine up immediately, however, the problem got worse and would eventually not start. I recently replaced the electronic ignition coil about three weeks ago and this appears to help the engine from stalling, but it still stumbles as if it is going to stall out, however, the engine has not stall out yet. I though the fuel pump may be faullty or the fuel filter might be clogged. I checked the Haynes Repair Book and it said the problem is almost never the fuel pump modulator, which is inside the gas tank. What do you think will correct the problem.
