1997 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic unknow miles

I bought this jeep a couple days ago. It didnt run but the guy stated another motor had been put in and that he had had it running that the altenator had seized up and that was that. It was simple to fix really changed the plugs put a new altenator on and adjusted the timing a little dont think it ever ran in his hands though. Alright here comes my question none of the gauges work fuel oil tach or speedo. But the mileage does show all lights come on like normal before starting. No power windows or locks. And no four ways or turn signals. Lights work and taillights work. Ive checked all fuzes. He did have the ignition torn apart because of a part being broken. Wiring looks alright but not to sure. Any guidance would be a major help. Thanks
