1994 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

the shaft/lever that comes out of the side of the steering column--which is supposed to control the high beams when pulled back---doesn't seem to click/catch to operate the high beams. Every now and then it will catch and turn the high beams on but mostly not. Anyone know an easy way to fix this?

It can only be replaced as a multi-function switch as a unit.

When pulled back those are your passing flasher. Push lever forward for brights to stay on.
