Does the 4 wheel indicator lever always to be in the 4 wheel all the time or can it be in neutral?

Put in 4x4 to turn all 4 wheels. Put in 2 if you want normal operation for highway driving.

Neutral disengages the powertrain. It wont even hold in park with transfercase in neutral. Itll just sit there. Used for towing
