1992 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

After driving more than a couple of miles my jeep sputters and stalls. We have replaced the o2 sensor (The code that the check engine light gave) and battery cables. What might the problem be?

It has had a tune up and oil change. Could it possible be the crank sensor? What type of affect can that have on the performance?

Check out my post a couple of lines below this one in the 1997 Jeep "is it the Crank Sensor?" For a little detail regarding the symptoms of Crank Posit Sensor Failure.

After it dies, how long before you can re-start it? Hard to Start, or does it just turn over with no problem? My thinking is leaning torward "heat-related", the engine heat causing a compnent failure.
