I have a 1990 jeep cherokee w/162,000 miles on it 4.0 l. engine. I need to take the instrument cluster out but to do so i need to remove the speedo cable About 6" before getting to the back of the instrument cluster the speedo cable apears to have a round plastic fitting w/ a elec. connection to it with a 3/4 -11/16 nut on it. My question is is this where I disconect the cable to pull the cluster out?
All of this is so I can get to the plug that goes to the light switch it has one bad wire that needs a new conector on it and this is the only way to get to it with enough room to replace it!!!
