Hi there ..anyone who could help me, i'm tryng to fix a problem
with my A/C compressor, for some reason my S-type 3.0L 2001, start
having engine troubles, we found one wire harness was almost
toasted (runs near right side manifold), we remove damage cover and
replaced with new fire resistant foil and cover it. The idle/stall
failure completely went away, but it seems that one of the cables,
probably the one feeding (+) voltage to the compressor does not
have any voltage at all. Electromechanic already check all fuses,
selenoids etc. all ok. He feed the compressor with external (+)
source, compressor is fine. Even though we can place external
source for fixing, does not look good for this type of car to
rewire from other source. If anyone can help me with the cabling
diagram from the harness to the compressor, I possibly replace or
find the damage cable and rewire from the original source, if not
then i'm open for suggestions, this JAG belongs to my Father in
Law, unfortunately, he hasn't been able to sold the car, (just
missed a $16,500 offer, because of the compressor issue. One other
thing, our local JAG shop here in San juan charges $150.00/hr .
Last time they diagnosed a lurge for transmission replacement of
$6,000.00, we fix the problem with $80.00 and a line flush.
Any help regarding this matter will greatly appreciated.
