2001 Jaguar XJ8 Sudden Change

I drove my XJ8 about 10-15 miles last weekend and it ran great. After sitting in my driveway for an hour or so, it acted like it was out of gas when I tried to start it. Sputtering, shaking, trying to rev, then stalling. No smoke, oil OK, water OK, belt OK.

It was low on fuel, but I don't think I came home on fumes. Regardless, I added 2 gallons of gas, no change. I tried gas cap on, gas cap off.

What could cause this? I will need to tow it to get any codes checked, so if there is any possible places to start I can do what I can before that is necessary.

Thank you for the donation,

I would start with checking that you have fuel pressure and flow, if the tank was very low, you may have either sucked up all the muck in the bottom of the tank and have a blocked filter or the pump has failed, start here.
