A compression check will tell you what mechanical condition the upper end ( pistons, rings, valves, head gasket) of your engine is in. Specifically, it can tell you if the compression is down due to leakage caused by worn piston rings, defective valves and seats or blown head gasket.
In your case, your left bank has less compression, for what ever reason ( rings, valves, piston, ect.) All motor's have all the same size piston's, but you will always get some difference in compression P.S.I. Due too one or more cylinders wearing more then the other.
