I have an 2000 s type jaguar v8. And my codes keep reading Miss firing on 4 and 6. I replace the spark plugs and coils and it's reading the same thing and car is still missing. So I check my sparks plug again and I seen a lilttle moisture on the plug which probably cause them to fold. So then I thought my head might be going bad. But my car is not over heating. Could I use a spark plug adadpter to keep the moisture out so that I can buy time to get my head fix.

Hello -

To better assist you please tell me your engine size in liter.

Also, please tell me the code numbers. If you don't have them then please go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O'Reilly's (OR) and for FREE they can pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once they check your codes, if they find something and you don't get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that. While there for FREE also they can bring their tester out and check your battery and alternator.

Are you loosing any coolant?

Is there oil in your coolant or coolant in your oil?

Are you blowing any white smoke out the tail pipe?

Why do you think it may be your heads....... Because of the moisture?

Has the car overheated at all in the past?
