I have a 2000 s-type 4.0 with 80,000 miles and this is actually the first problem I have ever had with the vehicle but I noticed that the trunk switch on the exterior of the car was no longer working. I replaced the switch and realized one of my tag lights wasn't working, upon inspection of the bulb I realized the bulb wasn't blown and my new trunk switch was not getting any power and still wouldn't work. So I am assuming it must be an electrical short. Any ideas? Anyone know how to find the short? My trunk will open if I use my remote or the trunk button inside the car, I checked the fuses and their all ok, and other than the one tag light (which I replaced the bulb as well, and it still didn't work) and my trunk switch everything else seems to be working fine.

Both tag light's receive power from the same fuse so the one that is out must have a break in the wire to that bulb. The only thing the switch and bulb have in common is they both recieve a ground signal from the REM (rear electronic module)
