1996 Isuzu Rodeo Question adding freon

How do I bleed the cooant sytem, and is it necessary to do this, before I add freeon?

Get engine hot with radiator cap removed and resevoir cap off. Jack up front end of vehicle and slowly add radiator fluid to the radiator and the coolant resevoir.

It is not necessary to do so before adding freeon.
