Hello,
I recently purchased an 1989 trooper that has been sitting for a few years. I replaced the fuel pump and the enginge starts fine now, but it only stays running for a few seconds. If I shut off the ignition and restart it runs fine again for only a few seconds. If I hit the throttle it will rev up, but it eventually falls on its face again. Would injectors cause this problem? It definately seems like it is a fuel issue, but I need some suggestions, please.
Thanks
Paul

might be the MAF sensor. Check for cracks in the boot between the MAF and the engine
