Issues starting after disconnecting battery?

After replacing the fuel pump assembly i connected the battery, and it's a good battery, it will turn over but not start, is there something that needs to be done when disconnecting the battery on these cars similar to some Audis and VWs? While starting the steering light is on, battery, and most of them, but won't start.

Nope, there is no special programming you need to do when replacing the battery. I would use starting fluid to see if things change and then check for spark, this video will help:
