I haven't even seen the Carfax, but looks mostly in good condition from the pictures except for the headliner falling down. I have a Corolla that has the same mileage and is almost the same year. I do get I am comparing much different vehicles most likely.

Hi,

All cars are money pits. LOL If you are looking for a dependable, fuel-efficient vehicle, the one you have is much better.

The Escalade will use a lot of fuel and repairs are more expensive and will happen more often simply due to the complexity of the vehicle.

Let me know if you have specific questions.

Pretty much all cars can be money pits. The more tech they have the worse they are. That is because, unless they are very popular as a classic or cult car there is very little support for them in the aftermarket other than parts that interchange across models. Even though the Escalade shares a lot of the parts with the rest of the GM trucks there are many of its electronics that are only used in the Caddy version. Those can get expensive to have repaired as there very few of them still available new. Plus, the overall cost of ownership on them is higher due to it being a much larger vehicle. Now if you were comparing the GM to a BMW or Mercedes, I'd tell you to buy the GM, because even with its issues, it would cost you far, far less than equivalent repairs on either of those brands.

Is a 2003 GMC Yukon with 220,000 miles a good buy? Any questions I should ask the seller specifically?

Virtually the same as the Caddy. Is there a reason you want a full size gas guzzler?
