My daughter's car started high revving going from 3rd to 4th gear. Had a mechanic look at it and it ran these codes: P0455, P0772, P0742, and U2064. He said it was the TCM, so he had a rebuilt one, apparently this part has been changed on this car before, because the one that he took off we were unable to read the part number. Watched a bunch of videos and checked online this part number should be L34T. The one he put in was L32T. With that said it managed to clear all codes listed above. After driving around for about 20 minutes AT light came on. No CEL. Codes are now P0732, P0734, P0744, U2064. Help

Hi,

The L32T was for the 2006 Mazda 3 (5 speed) automatic transmission. It really wasn't designed for this vehicle. Also, the L32T is sensitive to specific things and requires the VIN number from a 2006 to properly program it.

The codes you have indicate that the gear ratio is off. Basically, the vehicle speed isn't in alignment with a gear ratio. As a result, the ratio code is set. Since that is off, it is setting the ABS/Stability codes.

This vehicle should have an L34T module. I feel that is what is causing the new problems.

Let me know if that helps answer your question.

Take care,

Joe
