The front of my car rocks side to side. Took it in for repair I was charged almost $1,100.00 and not a year later and it’s doing it again.

Hi,

When you say it rocks from side to side, it could be the shocks are bad. What was repaired the last time?

Bounce the front of the vehicle up and down aggressively. See if it stops bouncing within three bounces. If it doesn't, then it sounds like the shocks are bad.

I attached a pic below and highlighted the shocks (number 3 in pic) and a few other components to check. When checking the shocks, (in addition to the bounce test) see if there is evidence of oil leaking from them. As far s the other items, confirm nothing is broken or loose.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

I can’t remember but that’s what I asked to get fixed. He said it wasn’t that and now I’m stuck with a car that I can barely stand to drive because I don’t have the money to fix it.
