engine revs very erratically when the car is at idle

The engine revs very erratically when the car is at idle (1,100-1,300 RPMs,) and occasionally when driving hits, a very high RPMs (4,000-5,000 RPMs). I have cleaned the throttle body and checked for leaks on the air intake system. The car has an i.6 SR engine.
