We bought this car new and have had this stalling problem for several years, it has been getting worse as time goes on. I have tried a lot of different things I have read about on the many different blogs on the subject. Nothing has fixed it until now. I have finally found the problem. I have read about the fix in a couple of places but the writings were not clear.
The problem is the solder joint that holds the fuel pump relay on the mother circuit board in the fuse box has cracked and the contact has become intermittent. The relay has overheated and has melted on one corner. Ford designed the five relays on the circuit board to be non-serviceable and recommends replacing the entire fuse box. That will solve the problem. Price on the new box is just under $500.00 and about $200.00 to install it. If you are even a little handy with a soldering iron you can do this repair for under $15.00 which is the cost of the new relay on e-bay. There are videos that will guide you along. I did this job about two months ago and have had no further problems. This is the answer, not just a guess. Good Luck

This is a generous piece of information that you have posted!

Many people explore this site for answers for their vehicle dilemmas, many just read and never post a question.

Thanks FREDEXPO04, I am sure someone will greatly appreciate all of the legwork you have done to maybe simplify their fix.
