Instrument panel not working

I tried to jump start my car and while it was charging, the guy who was going to buy it turned the security system on and off a few times. Now the instrument panel is not working and the car wont attempt to turn over. Do I need a new instrument panel or is it a problem with the security system?

sounds like a security system problem see if you can reset it to get it running again. then dash may start to work. unfortunately we have very little info on this car.
